Lifeguard Course
Dates: Sundays May 3rd, 10th, 24th and Wednesday, May 27th, 2026
Registration Deadline: **Tuesday, April 14th before 3pm
Fee: $220.00 and must have access to computer and internet.
PREREQUISITES:
**Participant MUST by 15 years old by May 27th, 2026.
**Jump into the water from the side, totally submerge, recover to the surface and swim 150 yards. After
swimming 150 yards, maintain position at the surface of the water without support for 2 minutes by treading.
After maintaining position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes, swim 50 more yards. While swimming, you
must swim continuously, keeping your face in the water and demonstrating good breath control. You may use the
front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. Swimming on the back or side is not permitted. Goggles are
allowed.
**You have 1 minute and 40 seconds to complete the following sequence: starting in the water swim 20 yards,
surface dive 7-10 feet and retrieve a 10 lb brick, return to the surface and swim on your back 20 yards back to the
starting point holding the brick with both hands keeping your face at the surface of the water, swimming the
distance under water is not permitted, exit the water without using a ladder.
Goggles are not allowed.
***The prerequisites MUST to be completed BEFORE April 14th BEFORE
3pm***

Sunday, May 10th @ 7am-4:15pm
Sunday, May 24th @ 6:30am-2pm
Wednesday, May 27th @ 3:45-9:15pm Extra Class. Only to be used if one of the Sunday classes is cancelled due to
unforeseen reasons.
