To begin ENROLLMENT, REGISTER (Returning SACS Student), or to APPLY TO TRANSFER your student, grades PK–12, click the TAB that best fits your family to get started.

In our continued effort to be your District of Choice, SACS is pleased to offer TRANSFER options for SACS Residents and NON Resdient families. If you are applying to attend SACS schools, please select the option that best describes your family:
SACS RESIDENT Transfer
(Intra-district Transfer – live within SACS School District boundaries)
- For families who live within SACS boundaries but request a different SACS school than their home school.
- Residents must complete enrollment/online registration at thier home school prior to applying for a transfer.
- Transportation is not provided.
- Priorities and capacity limits apply.
Example:
Jasmine is currently a third grade SACS enrolled student at Aboite Elementary. Jasmine’s parents would like her to finish her elementary school experience at Haverhill Elementary. Should there be a fourth grade opening at Haverhill, Jasmine would like to apply to move schools beginning next school year. Transportation is not provided.
NON-RESIDENT Transfer
(Inter-district Transfer – you live outside SACS School District boundaries)
- For Indiana families who live outside SACS boundaries.
- No SACS transportation is provided.
- Annual capacity by grade/building; priorities and a random lottery may apply.
Example:
Michael is currently a a first grade student in a different Indiana school district. Michael’s parents would like him to attend school at Southwest Allen County Schools but do not plan to move within SACS district boundaries. Based on openings, Michael may apply for a second grade vacancy should one be available for the next school year. Transportation is not provided.
As a SACS staff member who earns an annual salary of at least $8,000, or at least $3,000 through an extracurricular assignment, a benefit of your employment, regardless of whether you reside within district boundaries, is the opportunity for your child(ren) to attend school in SACS.
New, for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, all staff members who meet the above criteria and wish to have their child(ren) attend SACS schools for the 2026–27 school year will complete RETURNING STUDENT registration, ENROLLMENT, or a TRANSFER application for their child(ren) beginning February 9, 2026. While the benefit remains the same as it has in years past, SACS has moved away from the previously required paper form and will now complete this process entirely online. Please read the directions below carefully. Please note: resident families and SACS Staff will be given priority.
I am a SACS RESIDENT and meet the above criteria as a SACS STAFF team member:
As a SACS resident and an eligible staff member with a NEW student, you will complete the new student enrollment process.
As an eligible staff member, if you reside within the district, and wish for your child to attend a SACS school other than your assigned neighborhood school, you will apply to TRANSFER your student to your school of choice. Applications open February 9th. SACS staff and residing SACS residents will be given priority based on capacity. (Please note: you must enroll your student in their home school prior to requesting a transfer).
If your child(ren) are already enrolled at SACS you may complete online registration/RETURNING Student beginning February 9th.
If your student is currently a 5th grade student at any SACS elementary school, please complete the TRANSFER application to inform us of your middle school choice. This helps SACS monitor capacity.
STAFF - SACS RESIDENT TRANSFER
