Preparing today's learners for tomorrow's opportunities

Greetings from Adam Swinford

Dear Homestead High School Families and SACS Community Members,

Following tonight's school board approval, I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new Principal of Homestead High School, beginning July 1. It’s an honor to join a school community celebrated for its rich traditions, dedicated educators, and steadfast commitment to excellence in academics, the arts, athletics, and student leadership.

My wife and I raised our two daughters in the Southwest Allen community, and through the years, we experienced firsthand the passion, dedication, and care that make this such a special place. That personal connection makes this opportunity even more meaningful to me.

As I prepare to step into this role, I want you to know how eager I am to learn from and collaborate with the families, staff, and students who bring Homestead to life every day. I believe strongly in the power of relationships, and I am committed to building strong, meaningful connections that support our shared goal: ensuring every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to grow.

With a student-centered approach and a deep passion for inclusive, engaging education, I am dedicated to cultivating a school culture where every member of our community can thrive. I value open communication, high expectations, and an environment where all students are empowered to succeed—not just academically, but also socially and emotionally.

Over the summer and into the fall, I look forward to meeting many of you, hearing your perspectives, and working together to honor Homestead’s proud legacy while embracing the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am thrilled to begin this journey with you on July 1.

In this together,

Adam Swinford, Incoming Principal
Homestead High School
