Important SACS Dates and Deadlines

Good evening, SACS families.

We wish to remind you of several upcoming important dates and approaching deadlines:

Tomorrow, Thursday, August 31 is a Homestead High School (HHS) ONLY Flex day. 
 This planned eLearning Day is for General and Special Education students, grades 9-12. All Spartan students will attend school at home utilizing CANVAS for assignments while teachers and staff receive professional development and training at school. Teachers will be accessible in the afternoon and will communicate their specific hours of availability. 
 
The deadline for Super Shot- Flu Shots is tomorrow, August 31. In partnership with Super Shot, SACS will be providing FLU Vaccine Injections at your child’s school on September 25, 2023. If you would like your student to participate in this event, you must register through Super Shot’s registration portal tonight or tomorrow. Click here to access the sign up.  For more information on Super Shot, please visit supershot.org or call 260-424-7468.
 
We invite you to partner with SACS and apply to be a Southwest Education Advocate Class of 2024. Whether you are a parent, employee, community member or graduate, we are looking for individuals who are committed to the mission, vision, beliefs, and goals of SACS, and have an interest in lending their voice to the students, teachers, and staff of Southwest Allen County Schools (SACS) to promote student achievement and community engagement. The application is now open now through September 11 and is accessible by clicking here.

The Class of 2024 Southwest Advocates will be announced in late September. 
 
Lastly, Monday, September 4th, SACS will be closed in recognition of Labor Day.
